Getting Personal

Anne Carlson Designs began in 2002 when I decided to pursue a dream of using my creative abilities, education, and experience to assist residential and commercial clients through interior design. Twenty-two years later, I am fortunate to still be doing what I love. I have helped hundreds of clients over the years and worked on a range of projects from the historic Allerton Mansion and Retreat Center, the Bloomington Country Club, to restaurants and bars, offices spaces, apartment complexes, home additions, renovations, and new construction. 

I live in Champaign, Illinois with my husband Jeff, twin boys, Everett and Nash ( soon to be off to college in the Fall), and our Shitzuh, Rueben. I enjoy drawing, painting, sewing, cooking, gardening, travel, reading, art, and fashion.

My mission is to help both residential and commercial clients live and work in inspiring spaces through functional, thoughtful, and personal design.

Point of view:

My designs represent a classically-elegant and timeless approach to design which often goes against the grain of our fast-paced, consume-and-discard societal trends. I believe that investing in quality and using clients' personal pieces or business focus helps to tell a unique story for every project.
